Have any of you used the STELFONTA shot to treat mast cell tumors, and if so, what was your experience? My dog had a mast cell tumor removed a month ago and a new one has already grown back very close to where the old one was. He is having surgery again a week from today, and my vet also mentioned this new shot. Just trying to get more information as there is not much on the internet.

Hello!  Stelfonta is still a relatively new treatment for Mast Cell Tumour that can not be resected surgically.  I am not the best person to advise you on it as I have never used it.  However, reports do sound encouraging, with 3/4 cases doing very well (obviously 1 in 4 don't).  In order to understand fully what is involved, perhaps have your vet take you through the data-sheet / literature in order to make up your minds together about whether it is worth trying in this particular case.
