Hey. I need a Vet to provide a Animal Health Certificate for my dog for when we sail to France then drive to Spain in August. He’s had his 3 year Rabies jab last year and is up to date with all jabs and boosters etc. We are in the East Midlands based at Mansfield. Can anyone suggest a Vet that isn’t charging over £150 because some of the prices are extortionate. Thank you in advance.

Hello - the short answer is no, I'm afraid.  There is a Find A vet feature on the website which may at least give you a list of vet practices locally.  Then it may simply be  a case of calling and acting around.  You will need a special vet called an LVI - a licensed veterinary Inspector - who has received and keeps up to date with the specific, ever changing standards in this field and sees that they are adhered to.  Wishing you all the best with finding appropriate help and on your intending trip!

Hello!  I don't know of you've seen the 'Find the best local vet' feature on our website, but that may prove useful to identify some good vets locally.  However, it is unlikely to track the prices and a phone call survey may prove necessary. A particular qualification is required to sign passport document and only some vets have it, so always mention what it's for when you book in.   Best of luck in finding what you need.
