However, I suspect that the picture was taken to highlight the absence of fur close to the eyelid and two pink lumps. I am unsure from here whether these are papillomas or enlarged follicles or cystic, or some other kind of lump. One common cause of small lumps and bald areas close to eyes is the demodex mite, for which your vet may decide to test. Demodex often proliferate when the immune system takes a dip for some other reason, so if these microscopic, slightly crocodile-shaped mites are found, the vet may be on the lookout for other, systemic immune-threatening processes.
In any case, this eye and its owner are very worthwhile showing to your vet.
