Hello! That sounds frustrating. I am unable to see the mass - most lumps are either inflammatory (the body reacting to something) or cancerous. Sometimes, the tip of the urethra can peep out and resemble a mass and sometimes, this sort of thing can be seen in a bladder infection or with a changed consistency of urine. I think that good questions for your vet include: What could this be? (or if you want to sound knowledgable, 'What's on your differentials list for this lump?) They must have thought infection to have started antibiotics - 'could it still be infection now after three weeks of antibiotics?' (make sure that you turn up on the last day of the antibiotics or at least capture a photo if you can't get an appointment on that day - I have had many a client turn up two weeks after the antibiotics have finished, saying it got better then got worse again, so I would often just prescribe more antibiotics in those cases). What else could it be? What can you do to rule some of these things out? Do you realise that this is the third week of antibiotics and the lesion still hasn't gone away? Why might that be? - these are all valid questions that might hopefully encourage your vet to communicate with you on the level that you want about the case.
