Hello - and gosh! Neither do I! But I doubt that your vet left things at that. My pressing question is whether perhaps there is something behind the eye pushing forewards, or whether the eye itself is enlarged, or whether a nerve has been damaged, making the palpebral gap much wider than usual. Did it start slowly or suddenly?
Either way, remember that your vet can actually examine the eye and therefore has more information available to them than I do. I suspect that your vet proposed a plan to work out what the problem was. This may have involved neurological tests or an opthalmologist, for example. Anyway, we feel that if your vet doesnt know, further diagnostics would definitely be a good idea!
