Is it okay if I get two cats from the same breeder, Guy? Our munchkin was adopted from Myland Cattery and arrived safely. But we need another litter of munchkins, and we believe that if we adopt from them again, it will be from the same litter as Vani. Website: www.mylandmunchkins.io/  

Hello.  I have a belief born of years of experience that the closer to a normal, traditional cat shape a cat looks, the healthier it is likely be.  From a vets perspective I would be concerned about the wealfare of a cat bred to have abnormally short legs.  The abnormal forces on its legs may lead to problems in health and a good alternative would be to look at cats with a more natural shape.  If you were going to buy two cats from the same breeder with a view to mating, it is important that they are not related and your breeder should be able to prove this.  Best of luck.

I do not reccommend any breeder of Munchkin cats I'm afraid, because of the concerns I have addressed above.

I agree that you should visit any cattery in general before you buy from it - and inspect the cats' accommodation.  However there are so many instances of people seeing poor accommodation and then buying anyway 'to get the poor animals out of there,' that its worth having a word with yourself about this in advance.  This refers to any cattery in general and not just to the one named, which I do not know and have never visited to my knowledge.   Unfortunately inspecting a cattery does nothing to safeguard against any anatomical concerns.  Again, I am referring to abnormally shaped cats breeds in general.
