The video of her coughing and gagging is available on the facebook group that directed me here.
To vet techs,
This is Artemis. I brought her in from outside about 3 or 4 months ago, took her to the vet for a checkup, and to check her belly because it was very big and round. The vet said she was very backed up with poop, but that has since cleared up. They didnt see any blockages or anything, all her blood work came back fine, they said she will just need a dental check up and cleaning. I think she has bad teeth because she couldnt even chew a tiny cube of turkey. She was trying to bite off pieces with her front teeth. When i saw her struggling, i tore the little cubes into tinier pieces and she would actually take the little piece in her mouth, but had trouble chewing. She would tilt her head to the side and it'd end up falling out of her mouth. It took her a good couple minutes to only eat a tiny bit of turkey.
This gagging/coughing goes on multiple times a day like 5-10 times that I see, no exaggeration, every single day, especially when she purrs. She never gets anything up, she just does this for a good minute sometimes 2 minutes, she's done this since I brought her in, but the vet didnt mention anything about it. She eats a lot and drinks a ton of water and pees a lot too, but other than this gagging/coughing, she's pretty normal and healthy and such a cuddle bug.
The vet said she definitely has some siamese mixed in her. I looked up siamese and tabby mix, and it came up lynx point siamese. The vet thinks she was dumped because she was already spayed but not tipped. They believe she is about 5 years old.
Don't mind my kiddo, he was being nosey about what i was doing lol
