Dog’s surgery incision infection??

My 11 year old had quite an extensive Mammary Tumor removal op and has been left pretty bruised up. Does her incision look normal for after 2 days? It is still ever so slightly seeping and there seems to be a ‘brown goo’ on the site. My pup is still eating and drinking, doesn’t feel hot or have any bad smells and isn’t causing much of a fuss about it but is slightly struggling to form a potty position.

Hello!  When were you asked to have this wound rechecked?  It's common practise to have a check-up around now, and most vets would rather see a wound if they're worried around it. This is one that should perhaps be looked at in context, to see what the brown stuff looks to be!

I'm going to rewrite that, to make it more readable.  Usually, vets ask for surgical wounds to be checked a few days after the operation, so hopefully there may be an appointment very imminent for this wound can be seen in context.  If not, or in fact in any case,  we would reccommend checking in with your vet to report any unexpected change to a wound.   Possibilities include yeast proliferation, blood or fluid seepage or even infection.  When something is removed from under the skin on the ventral (below) surface of an animal, it is not unusul for body fluid to pool there.  Your vet will need to examine the wound in context to make a decision.
