IMG_9578 Have my dog’s stitches been slightly ripped open? He was neutered yesterday and I honestly can’t tell if I’m being crazy or not

Hello - i can't see that to be the case from this photograph, but of course I am unreliable as I am looking in 2D and you can see it in 3D - ie you can see a lot more than I can.  There may be inflammation around the wound.  As you seem concerned, it would be a good idea to ensure that the pet is wearing any protection you have been given eg a buster collar, and to let your vet check the area.  Always best to check a wound one too many times than too few.

Sometimes, when sutures can't be seen, it is because the vet placed them internally - it makes them less likely to be pulled out - or even that the wound has been glued.  However, the redness around the wound may indicate inflammation / dermatitis and the scrotal sack may be slightly filled.  Particularly if being bothered / licked / rubbed by the patient, this can at times lead to concerns.  Many vets ask for post op checks or phone calls if you are worried, so this may be a good place to start.
