VETS ONLY
My 3yr old GSD has been having problems with his left front leg for a month or so. He wasn't limping, but his gait was off. Went to vet & had xrays done and they said xrays looked good & they thought it was a soft tissue tear. Said to minimize activity & if not better in a few weeks to go back. Well last night before we could stop him he started running after our other dog & then yelped in pain. Didn't want to put weight on the leg. Got him in to a different vet today & they said his bone looked good in the xray. They are sending the xrays to a radiologist to get looked at also. He is limping with the leg & whining if he puts too much weight on it.
Do these xrays of the bone look okay? Is our next step an MRI to see if it is a bad tissue tear, torn ligament, or muscle tear? Trying to figure out our next step. Thanks!
Hello - I am not allowed to translate other vets' radiographs but, given that you have been to see the vets who took them, who have examined the patient and know the context, and they suggested sending the radiograph to a radiologist + / - MRI, then we would reccommend that you roll with that.
