I have been looking after a wild rabbit since it has been a week old we are still giving it kitten milk, hay and nuggets. it’s now 9 months old. All seems to be good, just wondering when I stop giving it kitten milk and go into water and what is the best way to change over

Hello - I'm foxed by this question.  Nine months old is pretty old for a rabbit to be on kitten-milk - or indeed in regular contact with their mother.  In the wild, most kits stop drinking their mothers' milk naturally by about 4 weeks and do not drink any other milk, so it is more than likely that your rabbit does not need or depend on this diet any more. However (I don't know the milk replacer you use, although your vet does) , a potentially high sugar food suddenly removed from the diet might be a shock, so it's worth checking whether your vet sees any merit in feeding a half-water, half milk mixture for a few days and maybe decreasing the ratio before stopping the milk entirely. I would be interested to hear what they say.
