Hello - I'm not sure what I'm looking at, even having opened it up on a larger screen. I trust that the yellow is surgical stain and not blood? Towards the top of the (surgical stained) area, I can see an irregular dark shape. I trust that this isn't open, but a clot or concentration of surgical stain, scab or similar? I also trust that Im looking at an abdominal cat spey wound, but this isn't entirely certain either. Because of the lack of context, because it pays to be sure in these cases and (obviously the least importantly but worth mentioning), because vets often won't charge the full cost of their time for post-op checks (always ask!), there is a strong case for getting any wound that you are unhappy with checked by the vet who did the operation or by their emerency counterparts if that is felt to be merited. I'm afraid that I am in no position to do this on their behalf, legally or ethically because I cannot actively identify an open portion of the surgical wound from here. Wishing both you and your loved one all the best.
