Hi - I'm afraid that you're probably right to be concerned. Drooling is quite a non-specific symptom, ie it can be a presenting sign of any from a huge list of problems. One of the most common triggers is nausea, which is seen in kidney, liver, pancreatic disease, toxicities, diabetes and so on. Another group of diseases would be dental diseases, or some kind of foreign body, injury or lump in the throat or tongue. Famously, not all cats who are in pain look as though they are in pain - they are masters of deception in this regard - so never rule it out on that basis. However, another set of diseases involves the nerves eg after a stroke, fit or blow. Most of these illnesses are potential vety severe and a wait of a couple of days could make a significant difference. Therefore, we would encourage you to contact your emergency vet.
