A combined faecal sample from my 9 month old kittens has revealed a Tritrichomonas Foetus Ct of 38. I note that a Ct of 36-38 could be either a low positive or a false positive. Also positive for Clostridium Perfringens. One kitten has symptoms, other - assuming it has Tritrich/both - is asymptomatic. Tinidazole, the suggested treatment is off - label and my research suggests carries a not insignificant risk of neurological damage. Is there any alternative treatment? Very grateful for your opinion.
