Practice Health Plan

While extremely rewarding, raising a pet can be expensive. It’s important they’re vaccinated once a year, have routine health checks and keep up to date with their parasite control, not to mention the importance of microchipping and neutering. That’s why we’ve created our Practice Health Plan to help you provide everything your companion requires without breaking the bank. Please click here for more information.

Mike has looked after my cats since he joined the practice 30+ years ago. I trust his judgement absolutely and his collaborative attitude is much valued and enjoyed. He displays a fascination with veterinary science that keeps his knowledge up to date and his enthusiasm for the care of his patients fresh and real. All the staff at the surgery provide a first class service and I thank them all for their support.

No stars from me after not being able to get to see my poor dog today ,I phoned twice as she was so ill and was told I could go to company today but if not would have to wait till TOMRROW AFTERNOON ,I had to go and register with another vet because I was desperate to get her seen to I'm disgusted and disappointed as I've been taking my dogs there for years.

Vet Response

I'm sorry you weren't happy with the service you received the other day. I believe you were offered a same-day appointment at our other branch but this didn't work for you. We always strive to see your pet where it's most convenient for you, but sometimes this is hard if we are very busy as we were the other day. I will speak to our staff to see if we can do better at accommodating urgent appointments in future. I have asked my practice manager to give you a call as well to discuss what else we can do to help. Thanks, Treforest Vets.

I cannot praise this veterinary practice enough. Most of my dealings have been with vet Mike Priest who has true compassion for animals in his care. I feel secure in the knowledge that my pets are in very safe hands when I hand them over to him safe in the knowledge that their welfare and well being is as important to him as to me. I would also commend the team of receptionists at front of house - very professional , helpful and welcoming . Only wish I had registered here earlier.

Vet Response

Hi, I am sorry to hear you weren't happy with your recent consultation. If you could give us a ring on 01443 491433 and ask for Karen or Christine, we'd be happy to help identify and solve any issues. Kind regards, Andrew O'Donnell

Just registered with you on high recommendation of a friend, hope all my visits will be short and happy.

Mike and his staff have looked after our springer spaniel Rex over the last few years. Rex suffered with Cushing's disease, had cruciate ligament operations and was always happy to see Mike and his staff who were very compassionate with him. Rex was unwell and Mike called to us on Monday when we had to say goodbye. He showed us compassion and felt our loss. Rex was 12. I highly recommend Treforest Vets to anyone. Thank you everyone.

Have used this Vetinary Practice for over 30 years and have had no reason for complaint. The staff are professional and friendly. My dogs over the years have enjoyed their visits and my new puppy is following suit by eagerly pulling me in as she knows she is going to be made a fuss of.
