Practice Health Plan

While extremely rewarding, raising a pet can be expensive. It’s important they’re vaccinated once a year, have routine health checks and keep up to date with their parasite control, not to mention the importance of microchipping and neutering. That’s why we’ve created our Practice Health Plan to help you provide everything your companion requires without breaking the bank. Please click here for more information.

Having recently moved back to Rhondda Cynon Taff, I urgently needed a friendly, understanding and sympathetic practice. My elderly cat whom I've had since 3yrs old needed urgent attention. The initial service I received by phone was outstanding. The practice instantly understood my distress and showed genuine interest in my call. I was seen within the hour and although my visit was unfortunately of a very sad nature, the veterinary surgeon explained in detail his beliefs after examination and his recommendations. He was extremely supportive and I felt very 'at home' at the practice. I have other pets who I will be transferring over without hesitation and highly recommend anyone who is needing a caring, professional and extremeky knowledgable surgery to consider this practice, Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support.

I belong to animal rescue and had a 9 week old kitten come into my care she needed to have her leg amputated due to severe damage that could not be repaired. They undertook to do this when the kitten was refused the surgery by another vet that the kitten had originally gone into. They were caring and compassionate beyond words. I am pleased to say the kitten came through this terrible ordeal and is doing very well

I have two female cats who were spayed recently. I was very nervous as they are both quiet gentle cats. However, I need not have worried. The care provided from start to finish was fabulous. From having help bring them in from the car, booking them in, the examination and the after care - I felt I was dealing with professionals who genuinely cared about the cats and my feelings (I was nervous and anxious!!)The cats had their opps and were home the same afternoon with no problems. Thank you.

I would like to thank Mr Priest and all the team for the wonderful care and treatment given to my pet Mr Darcy. The team are professional, friendly and very caring. They go out of their way to give excellent care and nothing is too much trouble for them. I take all my pets there and feel confident with all the diagnosis and treatment. Highly recommend, first class service.

After contacting several veterinary surgeries this morning, for emergency help, I was provided with none and told to contact the RSPCA - who again refused to help us with a very poorly cat and told it was not their problem! However, thankfully, I came across Treforest veterinary surgery, and contacted them in my last hope to get help. They were just about to close, However, they told me to make our way to the surgery. On arrival the staff were immediately attentive, caring and very friendly. Unfortunately they had no other option than to put the poorly cat to sleep. I can't thank the staff at the surgery enough for all their help, after being turned away by several other veterinary surgeries, including one which I take my own animals to!! I will definitely be changing my veterinary surgery. I would highly recommend this surgery 100%.

Recently took two puppies to the vets as they were very ill and could not believe the way that they dealt with us. Not only with our puppies but with us too. They made sure that they phoned us at least every hour to keep us updates in their progress. One nurse who we cant thank enough took our puppies home and monitored them throughout the night. One puppy was critical and is now starting to get back to her normal self. They are caring and considerate to the animals in their care and are extremely honest with us on the outcomes that we could have faced. If it was not for them our puppies may have taken a turn for the worst. Definitely the best vets around! We recommend to anyone and will for sure be going back in the future.

Many, many thanks for all the kindness, consideration and care Roxanne had over the last nine months of her life, especially to Dr Helen Dixon, and the nurses. The treatment could not have been better.
