On Sunday the 22nd April our family had to make a very hard and emotional decision to have our beloved dog Roxy put to sleep. From our initial phone call to vets4pets we were given nothing but support and a true understanding of what we were going through. I can’t praise the staff enough for their professionalism and attention to their customers. Roxy was treated with real respect and although the whole process was very upsetting nothing was rushed and we were given whatever time we needed to say goodbye and Roxy passed over the Rainbow bridge very peaceful. Thank we can’t thank you all enough for you kindness. Many Thanks Jim, Susan & Kealan.

When I called to book my wee pet in to be put to sleep the receptionist didn't seem too bothered. She was nice enough, but I told her why he needed to be put to rest, it was pretty obvious I was upset, and there was no empathy, she just said "ok that's booked in for you, see you at 5". I thought it was a bit heartless if I'm honest. I feel as though the vet was lovely and very empathetic, however, one thing that I would like to put forward as a recommendation (not a complaint) is that both my partner and I felt that when she euthanized our boy she should have left the room for a few minutes and gave us time with him to say goodbye. We were bringing him home, however, you only get a certain amount of time to cuddle them before you have to put them away, so that time was precious.

Vet Response

Dear Maz, I am so sorry that you had to let your precious boy go, as a pet owner I know how hard the decision can be and how heart breaking it is. I am sorry that we failed to meet your, and our own standards, at this most distressing at time. All the issues you have raised will be thoroughly discussed with all members of staff at our next monthly review and we will update our practice policy in regards to your recommendations. Thank you for leaving your review especially at such a difficult time; we can only improve through the constructive criticism of our clients. Please, if you wish to discuss this with me further, do not hesitate to get in contact by calling or emailing the practice directly and asking to speak with myself, MT. You have the heartfelt sympathy of the whole team.

We had to bring our dog Sasha in on Saturday 26th November as an emergency as she was suffering badly from the after effects of wolfing a fully cooked chicken. MT and her team were marvellous. MT dealt with Sasha kindly, calmly and with real concern, diagnosed what was happening to her tummy and treated her quickly. This isn't the first time we have had to take Sasha to see MT and each time the experience has been the same. MT also has a great sense of humour which goes along way to dispelling the fears of overwrought pet owners. We wouldn't go anywhere else for veterinary care. Well done to Vets for Pets on Boucher Road. Sasha now almost back to her usually bouncy self.

I had to bring my cat gandalf in and I have to say MT was unreal. She was so kind and welcoming she updated me on everything that was happening to my old wee man (13yearstupid old). I will be saying to all my friends and family to bring there pets here.

I found MT and her team very professional, friendly and empathetic. A stray kitten has become a much cherished member of our family thanks to the patience, dedication and support of MT and her Nursing staff.

I was fostering Faith a beautiful blind/deaf collie pup and had to have her spayed. Leaving a dog in for an op isn't easy but one that is so vulnerable us even harder! Faith couldn't have had better treatment. Everyone receptionist, nurse, vet all were so sensitive and professional in the care of my wee woman! I feel confident that any animal that has to visit here will be treated just as well as my special girl! She made an amazing recovery and has just a tiny wound! I can't thank you all enough for her care
