On the 5th Oct my beloved dog roxy had a turn for the worst had to take her to emergency vets at birstall. Unfortunately there was nothing could be done for her and had to put her to sleep. The care and support from the team was so grateful. I got paw prints and fur and 2 sympathy cards which was a lovely touch. Thankyou you all for your care a support really meant a lot. Thankyou so much Los ward

I posted one review but it didn't get shown so am posting another one! It's funny how all the bad reviews have no comments? This vets sentenced my daughters dog to death as they didn't do tests or an ultrasound when he was rushed in but sent home to deteriorate rapidly. When rushed in later same night, far worse and critical, these vets did tests needed to diagnose and found he had a pulmonary odema which was past treating and now my daughter only has a short time left with him! Had these vets done tests months before when taken in with breathing and retching issues they would have saved his life but it was left too late for another vet from another practice to find the issues.

Brilliant. Professional. Caring. Three words that capture the essence of Keith Leonard's fantastic Vets4Pets surgery in Birstall. I found the practice in 2013 by happenstance after relocating from New York to West Yorkshire with my dog Chloe. Happenstance quickly evolved into happiness that I had found what I truly consider to be one of the best veterinary practices I have encountered on either side of the Atlantic. Keith and his team provide brilliant service, offered with professional demeanors and compassionate care. My now 11-year-old dog Chloe has received extraordinary treatment in all of her visits, which have ranged from routine immunizations to difficult operations. Moreover Keith and his staff take time to explain, discuss and make me feel comfortable with all their recommended treatments and procedures. Equally important, his practice goes to great lengths to help settle pet insurance claims. My praise for and confidence in Keith and his entire team at Vets4Pets Birstall is boundless! Chloe and I are sincerely grateful to Keith, Ester, Davide, Jo, Alex, Claire, Emma, Vickie, Lauren and, indeed, all the staff at Vets4 Pets Birstall. Thank you. Thank you all!

On Saturday 17th Aug my beloved dog passed away very suddenly at home, my usual vets were closed with it being late evening so we had to take him Birstall our first visit and what a wonderful team they are. We were extremely upset but we were met by a wonderful lady who's name I didn't get unfortunately but i would like to say huge thank you to her she was fantastic. The paw prints and fur jars you did for us were just amazing and a beautiful reminder of our best friend. Thank you again for your compassion and caring at a hard time.

On the 19th August we had to take our Akita rescue, Tommy to an emergency appointment at vets4pets very late in the evening as he had swelled up quite severely and wasn’t breathing properly. We arrived at around 10pm and were greeted by a lovely night receptionist (unfortunately we didn’t get her name), and she automatically made us feel better and handled us both so well as we were quite distressed about the state of our dog. We were seen rather quickly, which wasn’t expected as they seemed to be very busy. We then spoke with veterinarian owner Kieth Leonard who was so kind, helpful and reassuring. He made quick work to find out what was wrong with Tommy and can’t thank him enough. Shortly after we spoke with veterinarian surgeon Davide Malucelli who had been called in as they were so busy, and he’d also worked during the day, and he was so lovely with the two of us and you could see he genuinely cared for our dog. After a tough night without our dog we came back to Vets4pets the next day and were again greeted by Davide and he explained every procedure tommy had undergone and reassured us some more and to put us at ease he didn’t keep us waiting long to bring Tommy out. It’s such a rough time when your dog is poorly but those three members of staff really took a little of the strain off us both because we knew Tommy was being cared for by genuinely wonderful people who clearly adore their jobs and the animals they help. Thank you so much for helping my baby you are all doing an amazing job and I would recommend this practice to anyone.

I brought my lovely cat in for treatment after an unexplained illness, and all the staff couldn't have been kinder and more friendly. Twiglet is now on the mend after fantastic care from this great bunch of people. I can't imagine going anywhere else-and the 24/7 hours are fantastic when you work and try and fit everything in. Highly recommended.

I can't thank our lovely vet Jo enough for the love and care she gave to our beautiful gerbil, on both visits. Unfortunately our gerbil died but Jo was so kind to us and to Mel, we felt really cared for right up until the very end, she gave Mel the love I couldn't during her last moments and I will be forever grateful. I really recommend this vets.

The whole team were amazing ,very compassionate and caring . We knew that while we were not with our dog Tyson that he was in the best place and everyone was looking after him . Unfortunately our Tyson passed away 31/01/19 and were devastated, the vet (Kieth ) treated the situation with respect and dignity for us st this very difficult time . We cannot thank you all enough x
