I always find vets for pets at Birstall helpful and friendly and this was still the case for my visit today. However I feel £20 for cutting two guinea pigs nails extremely expensive. Not good value for money at all. I was shocked. I have never spent that much before for it. The appt lasted only about 5 minutes. I will not be going for their nails cutting again at vets for pets. I would not advise anyone to go for guinea pigs to have their nails cut for that price. Disappointed.

I have attended the practice a few times recently with my dog Bruno. He would normally be incredibly nervous when visiting the vet due to bad experiences in the past at a previous vet, but this practice has really worked on making him feel at ease and not to be scared. Both Jo and Keith (and Cheryl the nurse too!) have cared for Bruno and i'm so impressed with them all. They genuinely care about his well being and treat him and care for him as if he were there own. They are professional, very knowledgeable and go the extra effort to ensure the treatment for Bruno is exactly what he needs. They don't make quick assumptions on the treatment which really put my mind at ease and also ensures money is only spent on what is really requried. Bruno means the world to me and I am so thankful that I now have a practice to attend where I know he will be well cared for throughout his life. Thank You!

Was a little nervous selecting this as our vets for our new cat a few years ago, with it being in a pet superstore it didnt really seem 'right' to me but my Wife liked how close it was and had heard good things so we went with them. Have been in to this vets a couple of times now for more emergency cases with our cat Boss plus a fair few times for regular appointments. Every visit the reception staff are amazing helpful over the telephone and when they great you and have a genuine love for animals. The vets as well are exceptional, polar opposite to my previous experiences with finding vets for an old family dog. Even on my most recent visit with Boss for a potential emergency they managed to fit me in and see him within half an hour of my phone call to see if I needed to bring him in. They really are 10/10 for animal care and do seem genuinely concerned for each animal they see. Never once has the vets been dirty, either in the waiting area (which must be cleaned multiple times a day at least) and the consultancy rooms are spotless. Vets bills are never nice and while it never seems cheap it is reasonable, but to be honest nothing seems that cheap these days! Really very well done to all the team at this vets, I normally write complaining reviews but your treatment of Boss on multiple occasions and the marked difference in how he is feeling after each time he has had to come in warrants some special praise. Now please keep up the good work!

In May 2015 my wife and I purchased a 7 week old Yorkshire Terrier Female Puppy whom we named Bronte. We wanted to get her checked over and sort out her vaccinations so instead of our usual veterinary practice we decided to try Vets4Pets - Leeds Birstall. We / Bronte were made to feel welcome from the outset and straight away we got the feeling that all the team genuinely cared. We decided to sign up for Pet Plan and arranged for her vaccinations. Since then Bronte has attended on a monthly basis for her Advocate treatment. We also get a text message a couple of days before reminding us of her appointment. She gets so excited that she is going to see her "friends". When we get to Junction 27 on the motorway and turn down the slip road she starts to get excited and by the time we get to the car park she is bouncing about with anticipation. Once through the doors she is yelping to the reception staff that she is there and now she is big enough to get up the stairs she is up them like a rocket. The reception staff always make a fuss of her and if reception duties allow will give her a tummy tickle. The Nursing staff are also very gentle and patient and reassuring with her and win her confidence even though they have to be a little more obtrusive when examining her. When she has to see Keith he immediately instills an air of professionalism and caring informing us of what needs to be done and makes sure he answers any questions we may have and makes sure we understand, being prepared to expand and explain further when required. When she was just under 6 months old we took her to be neutered. We were hesitant because she was so small and young but Keith reassured us and explained the reasons for doing it so young. When after an anxious few hours wait we picked her up we were told that one of the staff who Bronte new had sat and had her lunch at the side of Bronte's bed after the operation just to reassure her. Then when she was just over 7 months old we had a scare when Bronte was vomiting persistently and passing very loose bloody stools. At midnight we rang the emergency telephone number and took her to see the on call vet. At just after 09:00 the following morning we received a telephone call from the reception at Vets4Pets Birstall and a very concerned sounding voice asking "what's wrong with Bronte" and would we like to take her in that day for Keith to check her over. We took her in and Keith examined her there and then and we were given advice as to blood tests x-rays and costs etc. We opted for the tests which were conducted whilst we waited. Keith could see how concerned we were and was very caring and reassuring throughout. He prescribed some treatment and arranged a follow up appointment. All the tests and prescribed medication were relevant and not superfluous. After a few days medication Bronte was back to here manic playful self. We have 2 other dogs that were registered with another practice but have moved one to Birstall already with the other to follow. We know from observation that all the team treat all the clients and their pets in the same way which is lovely to see. We think that because we started taking Bronte from the start together with the professionalism and caring nature of all the team has made trips to the vets a lot less stressful for Bronte "though I can't say the same for us trying to control a miniature whirlwind." We would not hesitate to highly recommend Keith and all the team at Vets4Pets Leeds - Birstall From our experience we would not hesitate to trust Keith and his team with Bronte's care in the future and would Highly recommend anyone else to do the same with their pet..

Hi there, Keith, and the rest of your lovely team. I'm the lady who met you all (frequently!)recently when I was over in England staying at my mother's in Drighlington. I was trying to sort out her two old cats, Rosie and Tiddles. I'd like to thank you for your service, particularly Keith for all you've done and for going out to see my mum and explaining things so well. It's such a difficult situation. The cats have been mum's world, particularly since my dad died in June last year. Mum's quite stubborn, and thinks she knows best (maybe all mums are like that!). She didn't want either of the cats to be 'upset' by having to go to the vet's; however, I think she realised that professional intervention was necessary in this case. I had to be 'the bad guy' who took them off in the cat basket for a car ride......!! Tiddles is doing amazingly well, against all the odds, bless him. Rosie is giving cause for concern as I write this (Sunday afternoon in Oz; early morning Sunday in England. I speak to my mother every day, and she's reported that Rosie is being sick a lot and has diarrhoea. I can tell from my mother's voice that she's really struggling to keep on top of the situation. Having to give the cats special diets has been a headache for her, and all the inevitable cleaning up after Rosie is taking its toll. She sounded very despondent this morning, and I know she's exhausted with the situation. I'm very concerned, naturally. If only I was still there at least I could help. I believe mum's going to phone Keith on Monday. I know that whatever happens you'lll have done your very best. I think you're all wonderful! Janice...and my two Pommie cats in Oz with me!!
