Black spot on roof of dog's mouth

Hello,
I recently noticed this black spot on the roof of my dog's mouth by his molar. It appears to be indented. No swelling or pus or bad odor. Wondering if I should be concerned

Hello - and yes. I think that your vet may be interested to look at this spot more closely and, depending on what they see, may even elect to biopsy it.
