Hello- I'm not sure what this is, but it doesn't sound normal! When there is urine in the blood, it isnt necessarily visible all the time, so just because you have seen clear urine, doesn't mean that the urine is clear. Your vet could test a sample with an instant 'stick' to detect small. microscopic amounts of blood in the urine. If it is in the urine, it could have come from the prostate, bladder or kidneys, so its a good thing to check! Another big possibility is the skin; if the vet suspects this, they may shave some hair to examine the skin's surface. Possibilities there include wounds or dermatitis. You said he was a male so seasons aren't possible, but I did wonder whether prostate disease might be another possibility. Either way, we reccommend getting this checked out.
