Hi Vets, I am worried about my bengal cat Bear, he has this bump on the side of his face, It is hard and has these weird black dots, does anyone know what this could be, I’m not sure if I should take him to the vet, he has anxiety and I don’t want to stress him out

Hello!  I think that a single bump on the side of the face sounds abnormal - perhaps a large lymph-node, tick, abscess e.g. from a back tooth or cat-bite, tumour or inflamed follicle.  A hairless surface with pigmentation does make one wonder most about ringworm, ticks, abscesses or benign or malignant cancers, but it is hard to tell from such a description alone and it's your vets' role to come to a diagnosis.  Lumps often need to be sampled for a full diagnosis but, as a surprisingly large proportion of feline skin-lumps are sinister, it is well worth your while, even if it does cause a limited amount of stress the process.  We look forward to hearing how you get on.

This looks like an abscess. It would be best if you could take him to see the vet because he will probably need to have it drained.
