Cat bone fracture won't heal after pin insertion surgery.

My cat(about 9 year old russian blue male living in Tokyo,Japan) had his hind left leg's Metacarpal 3 broken and received intramedullary pin insertion surgery. It has been more than 1 month since the surgery but it seems his bone is not healing at all. (The vet takes radiograph every week.) As far as I searched on the web cat bone fracture heal relatively fast(about 1 month to 3 month). Do you think something wrong is happening to my cat? Is there anyway to make his bone heal faster?
