Hello! It is unusual for a healthy cat to refuse good food to the point that they are losing weight. There can be many reasons for such behaviour, but most of the ones I can think of involve illness, such as kidney disease, liver disease, pancreatitis, cancer and so on. Therefore, a visit to your vet, with a view to beginning investigations may be a good idea. Hopefully, they will have a previous weight for your cat to compare, but if not, then a previous photo may illustrate your point. There is a distinction between weight-loss despite an excellent appetite (most often associated with many forms of cancer, hyperthyroidism, diabetes etc) and weight-loss connected to a poor appetite (most often associated with liver disease, pancreatitis, foreign bodies, kidney disease etc). However, this is all speculation and your vet will be able to help you to get to the bottom of the mystery. Please will you come back and let us know how she gets on?
