Cat skin condition could be a pollen allergy?

My 2 year old cat has developed a rash on her face around her nose mostly.  She had the same condition last year in May/June and my local Vet was unable to identify the condition.  The rash cleared up a couple of months later which leads me to believe she is experiencing an allergic reaction to a plant/pollen in the neighbourhood.  She doesn't seem to be suffering any discomfort and is not scratching or over grooming the affected area. I wondered if anyone else has seen this condition before? Salome 3

Hello!  Most allergy itches.  For small areas of balding skin, I would be thinking about ringworm (which can be infectious) or a little hair-follicle mite known as demodex.  Both of these tend to be associated with a drop in underlying immunity so it's important to think about possible underlying changes or conditions, too.  Try to minimise handling in case ringworm is present and definitely contact your vet.

Ps please be aware that Ringworm is zoonotic (other species including humans get it too) and that immunocompromised people (the elderly, children, many of those with existing illness) are especially vulnerable to it.   Please do let us know how you get on.

Hi. Did you ever get an answer about what was going on with your cat? My cat has the exact same thing. The vet prescribed an anti-biotic and it didn't work. They took some of his skin and couldn't find an answer. This picture was taken last year. We tried anti-biotic pills, creams, coconut oil. It eventually went away and we thought it was going to be fine. But now the past month its back again and he is scratching them open. He doesn't scratch often but when he does, he scratches hard with his claws. It isn't ringworm as none of our other cats or dogs or us have them and he is the cat that loves and rubs up on EVERYONE in the house. It's only spreads on his nose and ears. No where else on his body. The picture attached - it was still ok here. Right now it's quite bad. I will try get another photo of him sometime to show how bad it gets. Yesterday he had some blood on his paw and I saw he had scratched one of the sores open on his nose.   20230115_140831

Hello - I know this question wasn't for me, but even though this nose is itching, it may be important that you have ringworm +/- conditions associated with pain in the area, ruled out in this case
