Hello, My cat has recently started vomiting a lot. It started two days ago (on Friday the 29th) and he seemed to get better through yesterday, but I just gave my cats wet food and he vomited it up almost immediately after eating. This isn't a very common occurrence for him and I'm becoming concerned. He is using the bathroom normally however I have not seen him drinking or eating the kibble I leave out. I will be taking him to the vet tomorrow (as it is now 11:30 PM CST on Sunday) but any additional input would be very helpful.

Hello!  There are lots and lots of reasons for cats to acutely start vomiting, some of which are very unpleasant including eating something they shouldn't (a toxin or foreign body), an internal medical condition (liver or renal disease, for example, or pancreatitis or cancer or..... long list ), a reaction to some kind of otherwise normally ok food they have eaten, or a physical blockage or tumour in the digestive tract.   You will have been the vets by now and I am glad to hear it, because vomiting can make cats dehydrated and you need to be sure that yours is coping; furthermore your vet needs to find and address the cause.  This is not always immediately apparent with cats and can take some nailing down.   Best of luck and please do let us know how you get on.

(NB when I say your vet needs to address the cause, we don't always at first.   But when vomiting looks set to be recurring we often will).
