Cats with sparkle floor

Hello, I am considering painting the concrete floor in the room where my cats usually hang out. I am thinking of doing a base color and then adding sparkle flakes. It will be covered over with a clear coat. Will the cats go crazy forever trying to catch the sparkles? Is this too overstimulating for them? Thank you!

Hello - I have heard reports of this happening and would therefore recommend avoiding it, or possibly asking for sample sections of the flooring to take home and then trying it out, before commiting.  The problem with sample sections is that they will of course smell of the shop, so many cats may dislike them with or without the sparkles!
