So my dog decided to be sneaky when I was in the other room washing my hands. He jumped on the counter ( which I haven’t had an issue with in a while ) and grabbed a rack of the chocolate cake pops the kids and I made tonight. They consist of chocolate cake mix and then chocolate melting wafers on the outside. They were made in a mini maker, so they aren’t huge- they’re about the size of a golf ball, bite size. I know the risk of it being lethal depends on the dosage. I do not have any peroxide and the 24/7 emergency vet has to close on Friday- Sunday due to lack of staff so the closest ER vet is 2 hrs away. I did the math and he ate 4 chocolate cake pops. He is a 52 pound, 3 year old Siberian Husky. I know what to watch out for but will be at work for 8 hours tomorrow without any lunch break 😞. I am hoping my relative can watch him, I work with canines but my facility is far too busy right now to take him in.

Hello!  There are two possibilities here - either, your dog has had a chocolate overdose in which they need emergency medical vet care and you need to get them there, or they haven't.   The best way to sort this out would be to check your dog's weight (or just tell the operator fat, medium, thin huskey, typical height, etc) and call the emergency vet.   If your dog has had an overdose it is important to get help immediately, irrespective.  If they haven't then you can stop worrying.  It sounds like milk chocolate with a lot of butter and stuff thrown in, so it doesn't sound like a dead cert poisoning case but it is your responsibility to check with your vet without delay.

The ER vet 2 hours away can check this for you over the phone.
