Concerned about my dogs teeth

I would appreciate some advice if possible? My pup’s (8 months old ) adult lower canine is coming through at a wrong angle. I have added 2 photos: one of the good side and one of the side which doesn’t seem to be growing properly. Do you think I should get him to the vets soon or should I wait and see if the canine will start to make its way between the other 2 teeth? Thanks. 🐶🐾

Hello - it does appear that your dogs' teeth have come up in an abnormal way;  in one of the pictures, the lower jaw looks longer than the upper.  Picture perspective can be decieving however, so your vet will be able to have a good look in real life in order to confirm this, and check whether there are more teeth to come through that may shift the position, and how much the canines are imposing on the soft tissues etc.  I have seen maloccluded teeth sit nicely in their abnormal position;  I have also seen teeth that have damaged surrounding soft tissues and needed to be removed.   I wonder whether there is a mismatch between the size of the teeth and the size of the jaw here for example;  your vet would be a good person to assess the dentition and reccommend any treatment as required.
