Sorry for the bad quality pictures, she doesn’t like to sit still.
I have a two week old doeling who I have tried everything with. I know goats technically can’t have “dislocated” shoulders but that’s the only way I know how to describe it. I’m not sure if she has contracted tendons or what. Her shoulder is stuck in an up and out position and her leg stays bent (that’s what the splint is there for). Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Hello - Im afraid that this one needs to be examined fully by your vet. Bandages are unlikely to provide a permanent answer and a proper assessment may be needed to be sure what is going on and how best to support things. There may be possible nutritional causes and are definitely possible anatomical and neurological causes, so if examination doesnt make it clear then tests may be required. Please will you let us know how you get on?
