Hello! The way I understand it, the drug that you mention is not currently licensed in UK cats - ie studies have not been completed proving the efficacy and safety of that drug for the purpose of temporary male 'castration.' I have heard of vets using it off license in the UK; indeed there is a paper suggesting a high % sterility between thirty and seventy days after implantation, but I'm afraid that finding a vet prepared to do so would be a case of calling individual practices and asking. If they have not been asked about this before, they would probably have to spend some time reading the literature before coming to a conclusion. It can be very worthwhile contacting the manufacturer's (drug company's) local representative, who will know who is using a product in their area and may know what sort of success they are having and can talk to you fully about any concerns.
