Hello there - it sounds as though your dog has gasteroenteritis. Unfortunately this is not a diagnosis but a word describing those symptoms, which can be caused by a huge variety of problems. Such problems range from a single 'dietary indiscretion' that causes temporary sickness, to pancreatitis. However, it could include liver disease, kidney disease, worms, diabetes and so on. Usually an assessment is made as to how likely the situation is to develop into severe fluid loss and dehydration or other life threatening problem. If it is mild but bouts are recurring, this could also present its own set of concerns, affecting the acidity balance of the bloodstream. Therefore we would reccommend calling your vet for assessment, in order to decide how urgently your particular dog, at their particular age and in their particular set of circumstances, needs to be seen.
