My 2 y/o dog had a very loud constant gurgling belly all day and zero appetite with some lethargy. Then the next day she woke up and she was 100% back to normal and ate all her meals. Then the exact same thing happened again 10 days later. Again it was resolved by the next day. Now it has happened again, 29 days later. Her stool has been normal until this afternoon, where it was loose and had a pink tinge to it. I finally was able to get her to eat a few bites of boiled chicken this evening. Any ideas? Vet won't take us in for 2 weeks and they don't consider it an emergency.

Hello! I have seen these sort of signs in dogs that have eaten dog-poo, or ingested certain bacteria or food that didn't agree with them.  Sometimes allergy may be involved.  There are however some emergencies to look out for:  bloated abdomens, particularly if accompanied by unproductive retching, are a sign to call the emergency vet. A pink tinge in the faeces can be a sign that it has moved through the gut so fast that it has taken some of the lining with it.  I wonder about dietary indiscretions (aka eating something they shouldn't) and chronic inflammatory gut disease.  Sometimes vets may advise a very bland diet in the wake of these episodes. We are pleased that you have an appointment booked as signs such as this have a tendency to recurr and even worsen. If things get worse in the meantime,  always contact your vet to be reassessed as too much fluid loss can sometimes lead to dehydration. Best of luck.
