Hello and thank you for this question. I am not clear whether you are bandaging this or your vet is, but either way it sounds as though it needs to be seen again as a matter of urgency. It sounds as if you are not satisfied with the redress and if this is the case then politely say so. This is because a) if the dressing is inappropriate, either because it wasn't appropriate in the first place or because swelling has occured and it is now inappropriate, then this needs to be picked up and sorted out. Swelling can lead to serious damage to the skin. Or b) if the bandage is as the vets intended it - less likely from the description - it sounds as though you would benefit from an explanation for this, an indication of 'when you should worry' and to ask them to describe it in the notes, so that the vet and not you is taking responsibility for assessing this dressing. You can ask to see an emergency vet or a different / more senior vet in the team if you are struggling to trust your own. I hope that that helps.
