hello, my 10 year old golden retriever has this light colored bump on his gum above his left canine. It is squishy (almost fluid like or inflamed) and it is painless. He is drinking, eating normally and has normal energy. What could this be? He has a vet appointment next week but they can’t get us in sooner. Thank you. 2319D029-334E-4216-B132-6487E5018A7C0E878BD8-99E9-41A8-8A2D-B47402A4C68E87A3722E-AC97-49CA-9F1D-CB3781B34688

Hello - these lumps might be a locally invasive overgrowth of the gum, known as 'epulids,' which can be related to dental hygeine for example but can, depending on the type of lump, affect the teeth or be very invasive locally.  Differentials might include tumours of various kids, or even local foreign bodies in some cases.  It's great that you have a vet-check booked in order that your vet can examine them and work with you to make an appropriate plan, relevant to the individual.  Please will you let us know how you get on?
