My vet said that my female puppy has excess skin around her vulva and has some minor dermatitis right now. He said it could lead to lower UTI’s in the future but that I can use feminine wipes on her a couple times a week to kind of prevent that and help keep her clean. My question is can I use human feminine wipes like the summer’s eve or I see on Chewy some just bum wipes for dogs but I’m unsure if that’s safe for the vaginal area.

Hello!  It's not unusual for skin folds around the vulva to be where dermatitis shows up, sometimes with secondary yeast or bacterial infection.  I personally would not use shop- bought wipes on dermatitis, preferring a prescribed medicated shampoo for the external body parts only.  However I obviously do not know what is going on with this particular case at all - or what product your vet intended - and it could be that they have a brilliant solution that I am not aware of.  In your position, I would return to the vet for exact clarification as to what product they meant - it should be in the notes and they are obliged to show you your clinical notes.  They might also be happy to spent the time explaining how they wanted it to be used.  Best of luck - and do please let us know!
