Hello, We have fleas in the shelter and want to know how to best get rid of them. We already put Revolution flea control. What should we do next? Is vacuuming the shelter a good way to get rid of the fleas? Is there a specific vacuum cleaner you can recommend? Cheap but effective. Thank you for your help. Am

Hello!  Vacuuming any soft furnishings in the shelter can be very important in helping to remove eggs from the environment, but is unlikely to work on its own.  Cats need to be treated, regularly, with a dose of flea control appropriate to the cat and the situation - particularly incoming animals that may be carrying, but remember that fleas can also be brought in inadvertently by cattery workers and on bedding.  Your vet will assess the needs of your specific environment and offer a cattery-wide strategy that is appropriate to the situation.  I looked at the Vet Help Direct Care sheet from a few years ago:  https://vethelpdirect.com/pet-health-library/cat-flea-control/ which makes some good points.
