Hello.  One of the advantages of this website - which you may see as a disadvantage at times - is that it is run by qualified vets, trained to be accountable and safe.  We are in the UK, and in this country, only a patient's own vet is allowed to prescribe drugs for them.  This is a legal matter - owners are not allowed to prescribe for their pets, and neither are random vets on the Internet.  Think about it:  how could it possibly be appropriate for a vet who doesn't know your pet, has never seen the case notes, doesn't even know why - or indeed, if - they are being prescribed a certain drug, to comment on the dose or appropriateness?  No, of course not, so we will not do that.  Any queries about drug doses need to go directly through your own vet.

This one also has some very important information and may also be valuable, although we appreciate that the financial angle may not be relevant to your question in this case:  https://vethelpdirect.com/vetblog/2023/02/09/whats-the-cheapest-way-to-get-medicines-for-my-pet/

Different animals respond to different drugs in different ways and the effective range for Gabapentin is quite large.  I hope that something here is helpful to you.

If your dog has been wiped out by the Gabapentin dose, then we recommend speaking to your own vet or their emergency cover who may have access to the notes, in order to establish what dose is best to give next time.
