Hello- and I'm afraid that my answer is quite bland in this case, because no one can tell from looking whether such a lesion is benign or otherwise. A biopsy would be recommended if this were to be your goal. If you have a read through the archives of our blog, you will find some useful articles (type 'lump' into the search bar). In my view, your vet has not only to treat a lump, but the cat to which it is attached, and a vets' plan for a lump should take into account what it may be, but also the bigger picture. It's definitely worth talking possible courses of action through with them to figure out what will be best for you and your cat.
