I’ve noticed a lump on my dog it started small gone up and down and now it’s red and swollen and extremely sore for her to walk. I’m booking a vet appointment it’s gone from very little to this I’ve treated it with Antibiotics before from a vet and it went away just wondering has anyone had similar with their dog? Thanks

Hello; this could be mastitis, infection / inflammation of the mammary gland.  It could also be caued by a wound, cyst or cancer.   We would reccommend seeing your vet very soom because it is likely to be very uncomfortable; if it turns out to be recurring mastitis, it may be worth considering speying this patient.

Hello- looking at the Facebook group posts, soneone suggested a hernia.  A hernia is where organs that would normally be inside the abdomen spill out through a hole in the muscle wall.   Your vet will be able to get a good idea of whether or not this is a likely differential, by feeling. If so, they may ask to radiograph rather than biopsy the region.
