If it's the eyes that are the problem, then it could be an emergency. Vets will often ask you to go in, either right away or as soon as possible. It's difficult to tell the true ocular emergencies (and there are many of these) from things that can wait twelve hours, on the basis of a phone-triage conversation with an owner or, quite often, from a photo. It is not appropriate for me to try to fulfill that role as I am not your vet. Pink eyes can be sore (this can make the eye itchy, and scratching can make an eye a lot worse in a short space of time), or could be a feature of various infections, dry eye, particulate matter or of glaucoma. We'd always rather the vet took a look and found nothing, than the owners waited when the patient needed to be seen. Notice whether it is painful, and how the pupil sits (can you see the iris - the coloured part of the eye?) Calling the vets for triage should be your next step.
