I have a 2 month old cat, and has diarrhea for about 5 days now and ive been giving her meds for 2 days now, in the first day I haven't seen improvements, but today I haven't seen her poop, is this normal? If not, is there a way I can do something at home to get her to poop?
Hello - if faeces have been racing through the GI tract prematurely for a few days, and the diarrhoea has finally been stopped, it would not be uncommon to have a day or even two without faeces. With diarrhoea treatment, the proof of the pudding is not whether it can be stopped, but in whether it fails to restart again when conditions go back to normal. This often depends on the underlying cause of the diarrhoea.
