Good Morning Vets, my BentLee had this cancerous mass removed from her nose in February of 2021. Imagine my panic and stress when I get a call from her groomer informing me she found another mass matching what was removed on her side.   The mass on her side is slightly raised but when you pull it away from her side it does not feel like a ball —it feels more like a super swollen cut. However the mass appears to be the exact same as what was removed from her nose and is “open” and oozing clear liquid that is sometimes slightly bloody. My pretty girl was diagnosed with Leukemia in August of 2020 by The Animal Medical Center in NYC and has not been vaccinated since then based on instruction from them. BentLee just turned 9 years old in January and to my knowledge is half GSD half Australian Shepherd weighing in at 61lbs. In addition to this current mass she’s also has a “nail bed infection” that she’s been fighting for almost 4 weeks now that appears to be antibiotic resistant. She has been taking clindamycin for that 150mgs twice a day since 3/4/2021 and also has muprocin applied topically once daily. This infection is being monitored by a dermatologist who is recommending amputation if she doesn’t respond in the next couple weeks. My poor bb has been through enough mind you she’s now dealing with both simultaneously. Kindly looking for a second opinion. She is scheduled to see the doctor Thursday concerning the mass on her side. CC594945-5DB2-45BF-B3E8-7A932DD6581449083B8B-B362-46A8-AA10-E8ADD17A63475777EF94-139A-4E30-A4FC-6027FA2727F4

All I can say is good luck with her! Without examining her I can’t give a second opinion; however, I would strongly support her seeing a dermatologist, and potentially getting a referral to an oncologist about that mass.
