Lump

my parents dog seems to have lumps on his balls they don’t seem to be bothering him too much when he sits sometimes he has to  adjust but he is a happy dog, gets very excited around people and loves to play I was just wondering if it look cancerous please

Hello - and first, let me assure you that there is no such thing as a lump looking cancerous.  I don't have a link to a study now, but I believe that tests have been done where vets were asked to identify lumps, and then the lumps were tested.  There was barely any correlation between the vets guess and the truth, except for some specific, select exceptions.  This is why vets tend to insist on biopsies.   More to follow.

However, in this case I am not clear which 'lump' is under inspection.  Testicles have lumps on them naturally at one end, called the epididymis. This is where the tube joins the testicle and they can be rather big.  They should feel the same on each testicle.   Any irregular swellings, colour changes to the skin or hot or painful areas should be checked.

I can't see enough of your dogs' testicles to say either way from these pictures.  They look quite large and examination would warrant feeling them as well, so your vet is the best person.  There is a normal lump on the back of every testicle called the epididymis and this could be what you're looking at - it's just the lump at the head of the sperm tube / bottom of the testicle.   However, I cannot fully examine them from here and at that price, it doesn't sound like a normal castration.  I wonder whether theres something I can't see, for example a black patch on the surface of the scrotum that merits scrotal ablation or a bilateral (both sidded) hernia or cancerous lump, or fluid retained in the scrotum or one much bigger than the other etc. but I can't see that on this view.  I think it's worth you dropping him off at the vets yourself in order that you can give informed consent as to surgery.

Its worth saying that testicular cancer almost never hurts when it's diagnosed.
