Hello! I can't see this ever so well on my screen so will have another look when I have a bigger screen tomorrow; from what I can see, there are many possibilities. I mostly wonder if it could be a histiocytoma, sometimes known as a 'strawberry lump.' The age would be correct. Often a histiocytoma can completely spontaneously regress, but it's worth showing to your vet because there are many other possibilities, including melanoma, bruising after a knock or injury, a haematoma or an 'inappropriate' under-the-skin bleed (one that wouldn't normally occur - secondary to a clotting problems, for instance). It doesn't obviously look like a typical 'tick ring' or other infectious disease that I can think of, but those are also a possibility. Perhaps because of the resolution I'm seeing this picture in, it looks as though it could even be a superficial wound or cigarette burn. As I said, I will have another look soon in case I can narrow down my list.
Whichever of these it might be - or indeed, it may be something different - I would advise showing it to your vet. Some of the things on my list are perfectly ignorable but others may need to be acted upon. Best of luck.
