Lump on my dogs head about 0.5 cm big. Noticed it end of December of 2023 when it was very small and did not notice how big it has gotten since then. I am taking her to the vet ASAP. Does not bother her when I touch it. I have a husky, 6.5 years old, female. Healthy, eats everyday, exercises well, sleeps alot. She does have allergies on her feet sometimes. Any ideas on what it could be? Most likely will get it removed and have a biopsy
Hello - Im afraid that I cant see this partcular lump well on a small screen, but my answer for lumps is nearly always the same. It is not the appearance of the lump that is important, but the cell type from which it is made and this is best gleaned from a histological specemin (looking at the cells down microscope). There are some exceptions to this; histiocytomas disappear of their own accord after a few weeks, so if a vet suspects one of those, they may ask to wait before sampling. Some inflammatory structures / cysts can be obvious enough clinically. Your vet will hopefully take a look at this lump and you can make a plan together. Best of luck to both of you and I would reccommend doing this soon.
