Hello - I don't know, but it doesn't sound as though you ought to stop there with the investigations! Presumably your vet has asked a lot of questions and established whether vomiting or regurgitation is the issue; there is a completely different differential (possibilities) list with each so its important to know one from another - and of course, sometimes, it's not obvious. It's a concern when people say that the bloods were all okay- of course they may have been, but I dont know which tests were done! Did they include tests for pancreatitis for example, which can cause chronic vomiting? Finally, not everything shows up on x-rays and sometimes more imaging eg contrast x-rays - can be needed. I have never heard a colleague say 'I dont know why this dog is losing weight or vomiting so we'll just leave it there;' - I imagine that your vets have a plan as to what to do next. We would reccommend asking for more details about this and sticking with it (which sounds to be what you're doing) - weight loss and vomiting is serious and it may prove vital to establish a cause.
