My dogs skin

Is this normal for dogs skin and coat? 

Hello!  Online forums such as this one do have their limits and this highlights them beautifully.  I'm afraid this appears somewhat out of context:  what am I looking at?   To what scale are these pictures - they appear to have been have enlarged with a lens or zoom;  how many times?  Where in the body are we?  What does the skin in this area look like grossly (as in, as you look at it normally without the lens)?  Is it bothering the pet at all?  Do you have some concern about the health of the pet - are there any clinical signs? I'm not sure what animal I am looking at here so I am in no position to answer your question.  This one, I'm afraid you need to show to your vet.

By the way, these really are beautiful pictures.  They are simply open to misinterpretation, which it would be better for us to avoid.
