Hi, my boy Bruno was neutered on May 22. The day I adopted him from the shelter and today I noticed a little swelling near his penis when I pressed on it slightly, it was his little discharge. It was clear, but they had a little older to it what do I do until the vet opens on Monday, please help. I love my little guy so much. Please help with suggestions so worried.

Hello!  Thank you for illustrating this, although I'm not sure which possible swelling you are referring to.  The scab in front of the scrotum, which would have contained the dogs' testicles, looks to be crusty over the wound (likely where the testicles were removed).   Sometimes this is a very local reaction at the wound site as healing occurs.  However, particularly if the area is looking progressively sore, hot, swollen, bring scratched etc then it can be worth getting it checked.  Many vets have an agreement with the out of hours providers whereby they will be happy to triage (initial assessment) post op changes over the phone.

He was fixed on May 22nd it wasn’t red at all and he wasn’t nothing it now he’s licking it sometimes I have stopped him but it is red and swollen some swelling went down I think it was irrittfrok a bath he was given yesterday because I was told to was 14 days and we’ve passed that. It looks a little better now I can’t post a video but it still has some redness and swelling on the right side of the scab
