Hi there, My puppy (who is a Labrador husky mix) turned one recently and still hasn’t come into season despite the rest of her sisters having theirs earlier in the year. There have been a couple of instances where males have shown interest in her as if she is in season but this lasts a day or two and nothing happens. however she does still live with the mother and I wondered if this possibly has something to do with it.

Hello - that's a very good question - I wonder if you're right;  it's not something I've heard of.  However, there are many reasons for not coming into season.  Sometimes first 'seasons' are silent - i.e. extremely hard to spot. Some females are simply late starters.  But season can also be delayed by a multitude of abnormalities, and we don't know which of these broad groups of possibility this particular patient lies in.  So, it might be as well to let the vet check her out and decide what to do from here.
