Hello! It can be very exciting to get a puppy and very easy to overlook questions like why would a huskies tongue be so long that it overhangs the front of their face? Huskies after all have long noses. Perhaps it is the jaw that is short and this has implications for long-term health? Perhaps there is an abnormality with the nerves of the face that make it hard for the dog keep the tongue in? This can lead to long-term dryness.
Breeders often hope that buyers are so excited to get a puppy, especially in the sellers market that we have today in the UK, that they don't ask too many questions. However, a good breeder would not mind if you insist that a vet-check is done, so that you can understand the correct cause and any health implications that may therefore occur.
