Hello! I just noticed a red lump near his paw in my 5 year old golden, it seems that it is not hurting him and no itchy … vet is close right now, so I’m wondering if any of your pups had experienced something similar and if you know what this can be if and how serious it is … freaking out here :/
Really appreciate your response!! Thank you
Hello! This could be a lump called a histiocytoma, which are common in younger dogs, but it could be anything from a wart or a sinister cancer, too. If your vet isn't sure - which may be likely, as its hard to tell from the outside - they might opt to monitor or to biopsy, but will talk you through the risks / benefits of these options. Its definitely worth a visit to see them.
